The resort area of Belek has grown up along a fantastic
uninterrupted ribbon of white sand beach backed by lush pine forests and fields
watered by turquoise rivers descending from the distant Taurus Mountains. Belek

The Belek region on the Mediterranean coast is located 30 kilometres on the

In Belek Tourism Center 574 species of plants, 29 endemic (can only be
found in Turkey) plants and the Serik Pear (Pyrus serikensis) have been
detected. It is also known as a bird paradise where 109 different beautiful
bird species including the Tyto Alba, a hooded owl which is symbol of Belek
region, which can be observed easily during the 12 months of the year. The
regional beaches are one of the outstanding laying eggs beaches for the aquatic
turtles (Caretta caretta).
The area has become Turkey's premier golfing centre and now
boasts 8 world-class 18-hole golf courses, providing for all levels of
player from beginners to experts. The arrival of the new Nick
Faldo (Nov.2006) and Colin Montgomery (Nov.2007) golf courses have
